Around Gethia

The lovely aspect of Two Chimneys is that it can be a peaceful base camp for you to explore the more touristy areas of the Kumaon region. There are numerous day trips that can be planned and catered for.

Pangot

Just 15 km from Nainital at a height of 2000 mts is a serene, small village that seems to be nestled so perfectly. Winding through dense jungles of oaks and rhododendrons one crosses Viewpoint – an obvious stop to get views of the big mountain ranges and then reaches Kilbury for a charming picnic or disembark from your vehicle for quiet walks into the jungle. One needs to hire a vehicle from Nainital or take your own as there is little public transport that gets here.
